A Hydroponic Farm works on each planet helping you to create more of a surplus of food. The greater the food output the faster your Population will grow (up to the Population Limit - see Social Science).
More Hydroponic Farms let you reap the benefits of a higher population sooner. Each Hydroponic Farm will give you +1 food per hour! The more Hydroponic Farms you have, the faster you get food so Population increases.
